Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Cushions

there should be a carpet like block called a cushion, the idea is that it can be placed on stairs, slabs, and solid blocks, and you can sit on a cushion, allowing people to make their custom chairs functional

    Not carpet, I don't think.  Making it a slab size block makes more sense, as does making it a movable block.  That way it could be incorporated into redstone and slime machines so you actually have a stable place to sit.  As for using stairs as chairs, that could easily be incorporated by allowing carpets to be placed on stairs and making them something you can interact with.

    I think that should just work for normal carpet instead so carpet can be placed on half slabs

    I think it should just be a half slab of wool that you sit on. My throne looks a little rough with this cart seat.

    I think it should serve as a concave Wool Slab visually speaking. Also make them slow the drain of your hunger so you can regenerate health after eating without such burden.
