A scythe would be a cool weapon to have in minecraft and it should be hard to get like the trident, but found in the deep dark. This will make it worth the trip to sneak past the warden and grab a powerful weapon, this doesnt mean you can kill the warden though so you still need to sneak past it on your way out.
The scythe is a weapon that can be swung doing a special melee attack which is kind of like sweeping edge, but it goes a lot farther and since I think sweeping attack should be for something else like the scythe, not the sword which is used all the time and causes problems when you have a group of players or wolves on your team.
The reason for this is because when you see a player with a scythe on your team, you would know to maybe back up so they can fight the swarm of zombies or whatever is coming towards you so that you and other people dont get hurt in the process.
The scythe would be found in the deep dark very rarely in loot chests and it would be covered in skulk like it was used long ago but was taken over by the skulk. It could possibly be able to use sword enchantments on it like sharpness with a base damage of 10 and around perhaps 600 base durability
Its attack would be a large sweeping attack and it would also extend a few blocks out, but its attack speed would be similar to that of an axe. It would only be repaired by netherite ingots or with the mending enchantment
It is a powerful weapon, but it is by no means easy to get.
