I love boss fights. they're my favorite part of the game that's why i was so happy when the new apocalypse+ update came out with the nether dlc because it gave me a reason to play all of the harder boss missions. but after playing all of the boss levels so many times they've become boring. in apocalypse+ 25 it takes almost a half hour to beat a longer level like fiery forge. 30 minutes of mindlessly blowing up hordes of mobs with a harvester just for the 2 minute boss fight at the end.
to solve the problem of my burning boredom what if there were arenas of sorts. one absurdly powerful boss in the middle of a colosseum looking arena. with no endless flow of mobs before it. these bosses could have half a billion health and do slightly over a million health. they would also have to be unique, for instance, one of these mobs might do a spin attack like you'd do with a double axe. these mobs could also solve several late game problems that players have. after triple prospector diomond pics were taken out of the game players who didnt have one are forced to live in emerald poverty. to fix this one of the bosses could drop like 2 thousand emeralds but if you loose to the boss you loose some of the emeralds that you already have.these bosses could also drop a lot of xp something that is now a rare commodity after ancient hunts were added.
