Grimstone changes

I think all the grimstone is overwhelming, I would like the less overwhelming if normal stone went like 15 or 20 blocks deeper. So when mining, it will take longer to get to grimstone and feel harder to get to, so it fells more special. Just don't make grimstone take up half of the underground please. I like what you guys are doing though, and keep up the good work

    Maybe make stone pockets surround the ore in the grimstone too please, it looks weird and out of place.

    Ideally I'd like to see a thick layer of andesite between the stone layer and the new blocks.  There is such a jarring difference in the textures when you put smooth vanilla stone right next to grimstone.

    We see the same problem with Granite and Diorite but since they show up only in small blotches at the surface you don't notice it as much.

    Ideally I'd like to also see Granite and Diorite caves in the Andesite layer to give large amounts of those building blocks . . . depending on how deep you went in the layer stone or grimstone could show up in blotches too. Really mix things up and make you feel like you are actually entering a new area as you keep going further down.

    it would be better if the transition was smoother. In the current snapshot, Grimstone starts appearing at Y=0 and by -8 it already is the only block generating. The transition should take longer before Grimstone is the only stone generating.

    The ores that generate with Grimstone around them will eventually get a texture that matches that of Grimstone so that they look natural. Besides, I personally like the idea that when y becomes negative, you see Grimstone instead of normal stone. I think they could make Grimstone just a tiny bit lighter than how it is currently, but otherwise I think the concept and implementation is really cool.

    I agree that it won't be enough room for REALLY big caves, but it can be medium cave still, and the normal stone caves above would be BIGGER. I agree it should be a better transition

    HighestWriter93 I've looked at many caves in 21w07a, and most of the area where you'd find large caves is taken up by grimstone. There shouldn't be a problem with lowering the level it generates, or smoothing out the transition.

     As of now, there defiantly needs to be improvements to the current texture of grimstone. As it stands out quite a bit and appears very abrasively in contrast to the current stone.

    The addition of a middle ground variety of stone could be added to soften the current shift into grimstone. To act as a less jarring transition and help work as an indicator to players that there reaching the lower depths of the world.

    - Quick tangent, the current indentation in the grimstone texture to me is off-putting. I know the depths of the world in these caves should stand apart from the surface and be seemingly unnatural, but they almost look like bricks!

    I like the idea of a darker stone block and i love all the varients of grimstone however its too dark and too harsh there should be grimstone stone (which is smoother) and grimstone cobblestone {which is similar to the current grimstone texture) the texture over all should be softer and should be altered in order to fit in better with the stone textures. the grimstone should also be less frequent in order to make it more special. if this was the case you could even add grimstone quarries to mineshafts that spawn in grimstone areas these could be larger underground rooms with wooden support beams to hold up the stone above.
