It seems some people don't like how large the radius on the Spore Blossom is, while others think its perfect. I believe a good compromise is to add one or two variants to the particle-emitting plant. One could be a Budding Spore Blossom, which emits particles up to about half of the current radius and perhaps a Spore Bud which contains the particles to just underneath the plant, similar to the Blossom's previous version if I remember correctly. All types could generate (but not grow to avoid having it automatically change, or have a similar mechanic to wax and copper if it does grow) naturally and to make it easily acquirable, bonemeal (preferably 1) would progress the block through each variant with the largest one yielding the Bud or whichever is the smallest. A Blossom Seed could fill this role and initiate the growth process, but is unnecessary. Blossoms can behave similarly to other flowers in this regard. Of course, these names are placeholders more than anything. Having block variants with different particle radii now adds implications and perhaps helps with some ideas that may spring up in future updates as well.
