That is a bad idea, to nerf such a powerful mob in the depths of the overworld just doesn't make sense. It's literally at the bottom or the world, what'd you expect, a cute buffed neutral glowsquid that does 1 heart. If you're scared of losing your stuff when mining in the deepest depths, PREPARE, always prepare for situations when playing minecraft or any other type of game. Besides the game needs more challenge and we already lost mountain challenges thanks to the glowsquid, so nerfing the warden will do more harm than good

From what I have seen so far, the warden is very slow to start attacking you. Of course, before it even begins to attack, it has to hear you, but when it does, it will move very slowly to your location, giving you plenty of time to get away. If you hit it however, it seems to enrage, and it will give off a roar. While it is roaring it stays still, giving you one last chance to get out of there. If you do not, it will run straight at you, and at this point, it is much more difficult to get away from . I'm only saying that, if you encounter a warden, it is not an instant death sentence. If you do not want to fight the warden, just get out of there before it enrages. It gives you plenty of time to react to its presence, or so it seems at this point. To be honest, we'd really need to see the warden in a snapshot first before we begin to talk about nerfing it.

First off, it's not in the game yet, also it's the main purpose is for players to stealth towards a reward so just nerfing it would defeat the purpose because they could kill it easily. As well it's in the deep dark biome so people would know it would be lurking near.

The thing is that you wouldn't (or perhaps shouldn't) just happen to stumble across the Warden. The Deep Dark would only generate below Y=0 from our knowledge, and judging by the ore generation, I believe it is likely that the Deep Dark would generate exclusively and continuously below Y=-32 (or at least I hope so). If you mine that deep, you will probably have knowledge of what you're getting yourself into. It's not like you will just randomly find the Warden while mining or spelunking. Like others said, the Warden is meant to be a disaster that you stealth around, not a boss that you are encouraged to fight. If you tread carefully and use proper strategies to avoid it, it shouldn't detect you. Besides, I believe you would definitely be able to explore most of the underground without running into it, so if you don't want to stealth or take the risk, you can easily ignore the Deep Dark (along with all of the loot and features). Nerfing it would just destroy an entire gameplay feature, as would adding an item that allows to easily deal with it or avoid stealthing around it.

I think that the warden is op especially science I figured out a way to spawn like 100000 of them, witch could absolutely wreak an smp, even one that's late game, u just use skulk strikers, skulk sensors, and a Redstone clock attached to a trapdoor, maby it could instate in daylight.

The warden is out now and insanely overpowerd don't get me wrong he needs to be strong but hiding in a 5 layer thick deepslate wall should not be able to be damaged through by the screech he has and maybe slightly less strength and or health the risk for reward isn't really worth it in my opinion consider the loot and the possibility of losing everything even in fully enchanted netherite if there was like netherite armor and better enchants maybe but for what it is worth not really unless it is early game but still really high risk I learned the hard way

You do know that the warden wasn’t meant to be killed, it’s a boss with no prize, it’s just stopping you from getting loot
