Light Sources Go Out In The Deep Dark

Light sources would have a very limited lifespan in the deep dark, and their light goes out in a few minutes, as the darkness consumes the light. This would make it more challenging, have the player think of more strategies of path making and getting around. It also makes the deep dark more menacing and "dark".

  This would also give a lot of utility to night vision potions, which don't usually get used (except to make invisibility in multiplayer).

  I had an idea for a mob that puts out lights in the deep dark. Also, some lights (lanterns, glowstone blocks, etc.) should not go out.

  I agree to an extent.

  either the light level in the "Deep Dark" is generally lower  (Max light level being 5 - 10)

  Or the lights go out after a certain event triggers in the "Deep Dark"
