With caves being updated in such a large scale Mojang has also increased how deep the underground goes. With these new depths, why not finally make the Oceans more interesting: Trenches. I know "The Monster of the Ocean Depths" is to be added in the future, so I thought why not make deep trenches that can spawn in the Deep Ocean biome. Like there real life counterpart, these trenches could contain all types of odd animal life, such as Angler Fish, Viper Fish, Gulper Eels, Rainbow Jellyfish (Comb Jellies), Goblin Shark, Strawberry Squid, Glass Squid, Fangtooth, Blob Fish? Yes, please!, and more. Trenches could also be the home of the fearsome "The Monster of the Ocean Depths". Driving your boat over a Trench could be what causes the sea monster to come out from the depths on rare occasions. There could be a diving suit for diving deep down in the Trenches and some sort of light source for the player as well. Could be something held, worn, a pet, or even an enchantment that makes you emit light. Maybe you have to kill an Angler Fish or Viper Fish and take there light bulb for crafting? The deeper you go the faster your bubbles pop and the more dangerous things get. The bottom of Trenches could have Prismarine Ore! An already requested feature. Being down at the bottom could over time deplete the durability of your diving suit due to the high pressures (because glass would be involved in the recipe). Overall I think Trenches would be a great addition to Minecraft!
