Weather / Seasons Update
With the new height limits and mountain generation, now would be a great time to update how weather comes and goes in Minecraft.
Clouds will now render as chunk-size entities. They will spawn in random chunks, and move westward. They will spawn at different heights, giving a sense of depth to the atmosphere.
Huge structures such as mountains will push the clouds, creating unique weather patterns that players can use to predict weather.
The clouds will clump together. If enough clouds gather together, rain, snow, or storms will occur.
Minecraft will also experience seasons, which would change after a long period of time (i.e. 100 days). Each season will provide new challenges and rewards to the player.
Winter:
Winter will be the most difficult to survive in. Instead of rain, snow will fall, killing crops that are not under a form of shelter. Trees will have brown leaves, since the weather is too cold to support leaves.
Spring:
Spring is full of flowers. Trees will bud with flowers, and frequent showers will keep plants nice and healthy.
Summer:
Summer is standard Minecraft.
Fall:
Fall will cause the leaves to change, wither to a light red or bright yellow. There will be occasional snow storms, so be prepared.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you agree with me, please vote for this. This would be awesome to see come into Minecraft!
