New ore textures need fixing

The new ore textures have the right idea, but there's too much contrast in the stone colors, leading to the textures looking noisy.  Also the gold still looks like it's just been taken straight out of netherack so the orange parts should be lighter and more yellow.

  You can follow the progress that Jappa is making on the ores on Twitter. He is planning to change the texture of Gold Ore to look more unique and the texture of Iron Ore because it "looks like Beetroot Ore".

  I believe that the new ore textures need to be more faithful by:

  • Have sharper/harsher textures
  • Look more like normal stone behind the ores
  • Have a more pixelated feel

  I have always felt that soft and fuzzy textures were not authentic to the old game. Soft textures also make them harder on your eyes IMO.
