Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Torches can be crafted with dried kelp

In order to make torches you either have to mine coal or make charcoal. I suggest the player can make torches from dried kelp, since unlike coal, which is not renewable and most commonly used as a fuel and charcoal, which requires a lot of wooden logs that are also usually used in building, kelp can be easily farmed and is quite easy to get. With the new giant cave systems coming our way, we will need loads of torches to light up the place and this could be an easy solution. The crafting recipe could be similar to the original, using one stick and one dried kelp to make one or two torches (more would be too much and a little op since dried kelp is easy to come by). It would also give another use for kelp after all :)

    I love this idea! Minecraft needs more small features like this, it is the small things that make a game better!

    i've read this from google search ''Torches can be crafted with dried kelp'' and i was like ''SINCE WHEEEN!?!?!?! YEESSS!!!!'' and i tried it and then i readed the whole thing
