Skeletons have a chance to spawn with a shield below 0

Skeletons have a chance to spawn with a shield to protect them selfs below 0. This will make skeletons harder when going deeper. The shield has a chance of dropping when killed and has most of the time low durability. The skeleton will not always use the shield and it can break when a player is hitting the skeleton once the durability is empty.

    How could a skeleton use their bow if they had a shield?

    Good point, didn't think of that XD

    Potentially they can temporarily put it down when its shooting. And have the bow in one hand and the shield in the other when it's protecting them selfs.

    It would be nice to make the bellow ground a little more challenging, and upgrading mobs like this might be cool
