Hi,
I know this might be a big one, but I believe the theme will be great for 'realism', and teach people the consequences of real-world pollution.
For example, with some kind of air pollution mechanic, a player would have to consider which type of fuel they use in their furnace. The process would take a long time to be noticed, but even a small effect could be a very thought-provoking concept.
Similarly, as Minecraft tools break over time, I believe there are endless possibilities for introducing a constant theme of wear over time in the world from the longshore drift of sandy beaches and cliffs eroding, to grass drying and animals ageing/reproduction (items included - maybe meat rotting?).
Maybe the concept is too ambition for vanilla Minecraft, but damn, it would be super cool to see and learn the harsh punishments of using resources in the world.
Kindest regards, and many thanks for countless great childhood memories,
Chris.
