Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Ores should have a surrounding texture of the blocks next to it

As I was exploring the 21w07a update, I noticed that ores spawned around grimstone w/ the stone texture surrounding it. This just doesn't seem to fit in, and gave me the idea; Ores should have the texture of surrounding blocks to fit in better. This feature would create both a realistic, and more pleasing look. For example, if diamonds were to spawn in a patch of grimstone, then the texture that would normally be stone, would be grimstone.

    Yeah, regular ore surrounded by a cave of brimstone doesn't look super great.

    the textures are already made, just didn't get done soon enough to make it into the snapshot

    it would also lay the ground work for more diverse stone in caves as well as let ores generate in granite, andesite and diorite
