Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

calcite crystal (and use)

The calcite crystal is crafted from a calcite block on the stonecutter. it is either used as or crafted into an item like the spyglass, except it allows you to see the sun through rain clouds. It may also be used to see distant beacon beams that would not normally be visible, making the beacon more useful in navigation, like an endgame alternative to the lodestone. This is also a historically accurate use of calcite.

    I think a nice addition could be if when broken without silk touch it turns into shards or dust, and could be used as an alternative bonemeal
