Yes, I agree with Ethan, it should exist and it should absolutely be pink, that way we have a wood that goes with crimson wood while being in contrast with warped wood. Perhaps the wood could be bonemealed and then flowered vines would grow on it (only as it look, not a new item).
It should be light pink so it is not a copy of crimson planks. Also azalea logs need its own sounds. The log should also have a unique animated texture.
The thing is, this Azalea trees are very rare and will only exist if there's a lush cave biome nearby. It even only appear for 2-3 trees per cave I believe. So it's pointless to add this if they're rare. Unless..
they make this tree bigger than any trees and have so many logs per tree then I will approve this idea.
Yea, the azeleas seem so rushed, it doesnt make sense that they make a new leaf and flower and then just smack it on an oak tree.
I don't think the logs should be pink though. Is an Apple tree's wood red because apples are too? It just doesn't make sense. Perhaps a wood color similar to the Note Block/Jukebox
I think it would be neat if the wood was more of a yellow hue since crimson logs already take the place for the red/pink area. I would imagine using it in an shore/coastline build, it would be a nice change of pace from birch flooring in warm/tropical builds.
Creeperdoge75, nice color but I might go with something slightly lighter. I like the idea of giving it a faint yellow-pink tinge, at least for top and plank textures. New wood colors are great for building, and are far more realistic and correct. I similarly hope that one day apple trees get their own plant. There really is no point in adding the new leaves and flower/bush without the wood, as DarkstalkerMoon stated. It's just not right.
The truth is that I had a similar idea, but I read and they say that a pink wood, the truth is that my idea was lime green wood, but after the comments posted I thought "wood with lime green bark and some flower designs, but when if the bark is removed a pink color is revealed" when it becomes planks it will turn pink with green lines, the objects created with this (doors, hatches, etc ...) would have a pink color with a little green, and for Of course it would be great if it had its own cocoon, because if it has its own leaves and if you add your own wood to it, it would be only fair if it had its own shape and shape characteristics in the tree structure.
That would not make sense. The bark should match the wood color but be darker than the actual wood. The hue can be decided by the community and the Minecraft team.
We need new woods, and unless Mojang hate wood for some reason (like maybe Jeb fell out of a tree once) they should add some. We are missing a black wood, which would be beautiful, and green, yellow, pink, red. Infinite opportunities for new trees. If you have ever played with Oh, the Biomes You'll Go or Biomes O' Plenty you know what trees I am thinking. Mahogany, Ebony, Redwood (as a variant of the tiaga), Cypress, Rainbow Eucalyptus, Joshua, Cherry, and about 70 others. Minecraft does not have to use real trees though. My other idea would be to make a "Wither Wood", or "Withered Stem" similar to the warped or crimson ones from 1.16. And, hey, these ideas don't even have to come in 1.17 or 1.18, but just to see them would be nice.
I think that the azalea trees should have olive-green colored wood with brown bark, since we don’t have any green wood types yet. There are a few brown wood types, acacia is orange, birch is a light yellow, crimson is a pinkish-red, and warped is blue. So I think a green wood type would be much appreciated by builders and would fit very well with many natural builds.
Since there is no green wood in the game, I would like the idea of green-ish color wood. And since Azalea kinda rare to find so it's could be the 2nd rarest wood type.
