    I agree that having the tiny blobs currently looks horrible in the new generation, so to me the solutions would either be like you mentioned:
    1. new cave biomes that generate made out of the 3 rock types. This would add a new exploration element to hunt down blocks for building and add more variety when caving.
    2. Dramatically increase in the size of the blobs, so entire walls of the caves are made out of huge chunks of the rock types. so its less blotchy and more varied,

    Also, I think ores should blend with the stone types around them instead of always having a normal stone background.
