stargazing

the night skies in minecraft are honestly so beautiful, but the only thing that really changes is the moon. but what if there were things like a morning star, a chance of shooting stars, comets, even full on meteor showers, all with their own levels of rarity. i mean we're already getting essentially a telescope, so i really dont think it'd feel too out of place. this is definitely more cosmetic than anything else, but it would really be incredible to see some aspect of this make it's way into the game!

  There should be details in the sky that you can only find when using the telescope. Maybe you can use the telescope to look at certain places in the night sky for special events. Special event areas will spawn (and despawn) randomly throughout the night sky. For example, if you stare directly at a "black hole" through a spyglass, Phantoms will spawn. Phantoms are known as the Monster of the Night Skies after all.

  This would be a nice little aesthetic thing. Additionally, this would lead to the spyglass becoming incredibly useful when Minecraft one day far in the future makes it to space.

  Yes! maybe depending on how many stars are visible will effect how many mobs will spawn.
