I suggested this once, although that was before copper existed and i suggested a pan that  you must sit there and hold like a fishing rod

either way I'd be happy to see it

this is great but the diamonds should be like .5% instead. 2% is kinda easy

Great idea. I'm super surprised this is not in Minecraft already.

I like this idea a lot. It would be a good compliment to fishing as well. My only concern is that (as you mentioned) iron and gold take 9 nuggets, yet at a rate of 8% for emerlad and 2% for diamond, these two are far too easy to get relative to the difficulty in getting a full ingot.

E.g. on average it would take 9/.15 = 60 trials to get 1 iron or gold ingot, while a diamond could be obtained in 1 / .02 = 50 trials. So diamond and emerald would end up being less rare in a sense... Also, I think gold should be a little more rare than iron to keep with the current ore rarity balance... maybe halve diamond and emerald to 4 and 1 percent then put iron up to 20%... or maybe put it to 17% and raise sand gravel and clay by 1%.

Balance aside I think this is a great idea!
