    Or a spin on this same idea: vampires? You could implement them among bats and would fly down and transform from a bat to a vampire to try and poison you, but would once again burn in daylight.

    I think this would be awesome, goblin villagers/miners that live in cavern villages and you can trade with them.

    I’d love to see Goblins in Minecraft as well!

    But instead of caves, I was thinking they could be on the mountains. With the new generated world in 1.18, while it’s cool to have those tall mountains, it needs something to explore as well.

    Some ideas:
    - A goblin hut in the mountains
    - Goblin caves (consider these not as caves, but a new generated structure, a unique cave that these Goblins made in the mountains) that the Goblins live in.
    - Goblin definitely needs different types
    - Some of them ride goats!

    I would love to see goblin caves. It would change from the usual cave mobs like zombies, creepers, skeletons... We need something new, strange and scary, but not too dangerous like the Warden. You could trade with them if you have gold (more affordable than emeralds if you're early in the game, and they'd give you different items than the piglins), but goblins would attack you if you got really precious stuff on you, like emeralds or diamond.
    Goblin caves could be located in high mountains, and goblins would go out at night to attack any passive mob. If the player kills the goblins they would respawn overtime, but they would stop spawning in the area if the player destroys the goblin spawner hidden in the goblin cave.
    Some larger goblin caves would be less likely to spawn, but would go far underground with stronger goblins with special armors, wizard goblins and a goblin king boss
