There should be a new item called the Viler Cloak.
With this cloak added to the player's off hand, they will not only have a dark tattered cloak around their left arm but they would also be able to use it as a sheild from potions. It will look like how a vampire would use its cape to cover themselves. The downsides are that the cloak can't block physical attack damage, will prevent very little knockback and can only be used to block in your off hand. If its on your hotbar then the cloak can only be waved around and used to punch for no additional effects.
I believe the best way to get a potion blocking cloak is to get it from a new-ish mob, the Viler Witch from Minecraft Earth, a mob that is immune to potions and lives in the dark forest. A few of these witches could spawn in the top levels of woodland mansions as to give the structure a new exclusive attraction.
The Viler Cloak could be really great for players who want the choice between blocking strong attacks with shields or devastating potions with the Viler Cloak. Since this cloak would look amazing on anyone's shoulder, i think that it should get even cooler by having the player's cape change the texture. Unlike the elytra the cloak will remain its usual color but have a stilohet of a pattern that represents that cape (EX: light gray Mojang logo on the dark cloak).
