Throughout the past decade Minecraft has gone through numerous changes that have brought new and exciting content for the entirety of the community to enjoy, leaving some things to be left in the past and are now known as ancient. These said ancient objects are things like the ancient cobblestone and mossy cobblestone textures from times of beta and before.
The 1.17 Archeology feature introduces ancient relics from the far past of Minecraft which adds more lore of history for the community to learn about and appreciate. However, it does not feature history that the eldest of the community have to share. Adding in ancient cobblestone and ancient mossy cobblestone would be fitting to the update due to their aged and rugged look. Cobblestone being dark and much more worn down, as if it had seen millions of nights, and the Mossy Cobblestone looking even older, lurking in the dungeons of caves since dungeons came to be.
Having these blocks will allow players who were not there to learn about how Minecraft was in its ancient times, it stands as a relic of what Minecraft what was, and how it has changed so vastly in unimaginable ways. It can be a centerpiece to a museum, a relic to appreciate and use for unique decoration. You can share it with your friends or the eldest who lived with such cobblestone as nostalgic memorabilia. With the boundless forms of creativity that Minecraft has to offer, Ancient Cobblestone and Ancient Mossy Cobblestone fit in perfectly for new & old players.
