Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Chests

I think that it would be cool if there were different types of looks for chests depending on what wood you use like a spruce chest wood look medieval and oak would be the current type of chest. It would fit because there are different variants of signs and boats depending on what wood you use.

    I mean that would be cool but then again the downside to that would be that you wouldn't be able to create a chest with mixed woods anymore which can be a big downside for speedrunners and others. But yea I guess it would be cool.

    I'd go a step further and make the nether 1s hold less but be the only 1s which can't burn, but that might be too punishing so no double chests could be a more reasonable idea

    Different chests for all woodtypes but also a "patchwork" chest that can be made from any combination of planks would work I think.

    This is a feature I personally think really should be added to Minecraft. The chests are kind of boring texture-wise and this would add a whole new pop to the game!

    More container options would be great.
    They could even add a unique look for an oak chest and have the current one (for posterity/backwards compatibility) if you use mixed woods to create it.
