Sadly, they'll never do this. Platform exclusivity is for some reason good in their eyes. It's a good idea, but just use Java.

Yes, please do this. I can side load the iPad app onto my M1 Mac and use it with a controller, but the graphics are little blurry (but not too bad) and there’s big black bars on the side because of the aspect ratio. If you make a few tweaks to solve this, you’ll bring the bedrock edition to all future M1 macs which will be huge for Mac gaming.

CoderTommy why not? Bedrock is widely multiplatform

    I don't use Java anymore.

It would be nice if this feedback website would be easier to use. I think there would be more than 40 votes if I didn't have to search, click around, log into Microsoft and share all my friends list...etc.

We have a bedrock server where our friends and family can play on their Switch, Xbox, PC, etc. I don't understand why the Bedrock version isn't available for M1 other than poor business decisions and Apple vs. Microsoft politics. It's obvious that people want this to work on the new M1 Macs. Make it happen! I'll even pay for it again...like I have for each console and PC.

I think Bedrock could also be made available for Linux users. (If it isn't already.)

I would love to see this! I play on my phone and Xbox but it would be awesome to also be able to use my Mac for Minecraft as well :)

I agree, not only would they get more players on Mac but they would get more sales in the Minecraft Marketplace as well. It just makes since to allow as many people as possible to spend money on their products.

So Bedrock can run on xbox, PS, Nentendo, iphone, ipad, and pc if bedrock is more cross platform than java why not put it on mac. Funny thing  have a nentendo but it doesn't let me get the full experience of bedrock and its laggy, so my friends all felt bad for me so in 1 year one by one they got java edition lol,

I’d pay more for Bedrock Edition than Java Edition for my M1 Mac anytime!

There should also be Chromebook app extension, but if you own Minecraft for Android, you also own Minecraft for chromeOS.

I think because they want you to get a PC instead of Mac so thats why they are nit giving Bedrock on Mac/Linus

Given that the new iPad Pro models use the m1 chip, iOS applications can run on an m1 mac with macOs and all a developer needs to do is allow the iOS version to be installed it shouldn't be too difficult.  There is testing to consider, but given apple will be dropping the x86 processors at some stage its probably a good move to tick that box ;) - crackedMagnet

Idk why they haven't launch it, the Minecraft education edition is basically the bedrock edition and its compatible with intel Macs, so why can't they launch it for Silicon and intel Macs if it is already compatible?

you wouldn't even need to make it exclusively for the M1 Macs.

my 2020 pervious edition Mac plays Minecraft education edition just fine and I don't see how default bedrock would perform any worse than education edition on a Mac (I do under stand that I having 1 terabyte of memory may make difference but that would make a difference on a windows PC to)

If bedrock really is the future of Minecraft, then there should definitely be an M1 version of it available. I mean, how much would time would it take to port the iPad App Store version of it to Mac?

Would love this feature, unfortunately, my friend has to either use her iPad or she has to play something else. I think it's just they spent ages making Minecraft PSVR and not actually paying attention to the other part of the fanbase.

Yes! Since Bedrock performs better than Java, it would be great to have both options

The fact that Microsoft won't allow the best selling game of all time to be played on a competing platform says a lot about them as a company... There's not even a native M1 build for Java Edition after over a year of the chips being on the market, it's not that hard guys.

Honestly even if java is better, some people don't feel like spending a 20+ dollar game if you could get bedrock which is free. It's a bit unfair that only windows and consoles have access to it but no macOS.

yes i agree with this because i have a mac and my siblings all have windows and i cant play Minecraft with them and getting bedrock would be good

They should make it free for those who have java, so that they don't have to pay extra, it should just be added to the java menu!
