Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Night Vision Telescope

Pretty simple idea. Night vision potions are hard to make, particularly in the early to mid game, the glow squid has very little use, and the telescope doesn't have much either.

Idea is: combine these two pretty useless items to create a night vision/glow telescope, where when you look down it, you're given a night vision effect, or something similar to that. Crafting recipe would be pretty simple too, just a telescope and a glow ink sac. It'd allow for seeing in the dark, and give these two new items a little more functionality

    Glow squids are common enough that perhaps the night vision effect should wear off the telescope with use.

    Well, now that echo shards are a thing, and they are a real pain in the abs to get, the night vision telescope could be made out of it, replacing the Amethyst shard in the recipe. That would make the night vision telescope a bit less overpowered
