I love the idea for cherry blossoms in my vanilla Minecraft gameplay. However I disagree that cherry blossoms would be limited to be found in flower fields biome. They should be found in a much lower quantities in other subtropical biomes though more common to the flower fields biome. They should be found in four color variations pink (common), white (common), yellow (uncommon), and a light, "spring" green (uncommon).

Finding cherries from them should work like finding apples from oak.  Showing the fruit on tree-type that have a lot of leaves/flowers would not appear the best in Minecraft. Palm trees with coconuts would be doable, as they have fewer leaves. The appeal of these trees wouldn't & shouldn't be the small fruit it yields, and Minecraft has sweet berries which function the same.

If the Devs do implement these trees in vanilla Minecraft, perhaps occasional, or "periodic", fallen petal-like particles can happen. Though that may be a RTX-Exclusive feature.

very good ideas, maybe each tree type, yellow, pink, white and lime, spawn in different biomes. Pink could be exclusive to the flower fields while white would show up in tundra, yellow in mesa and lime in plains. they should be one sapling but have different colours based on their plant location, like how leaves and grass change colour slightly based on biomes. maybe they could also just drop sweet berries instead of a new cherry item, since sweet berries already exist.

Thanks for the feedback, though I disagree with one sapling and they would have different colors based on their plant location. If you get a sapling from each tree, would allow players decorate their home base by planting the trees of the colors they want, where they want them.  Base decorating in the main reason for these trees.

Though, another feature that could be added is a light blanket of petals that appear both under the foliage and in the area directly around that space, over time. The petals should only appear on flat blocks, though snow & running water should stop this light blanket from appearing, and it would only appear three or four blocks down from the trees trunk.

I'd like these trees to be planted near some decorative ponds around my home base. The fallen petals would look nice over both on the ground & on the pond.

ok yeah different saplings for different trees, i like it. let's just agree that the trees will spawn naturally in their respective biome based on their own colour. if these are different saplings will the wood be different, i think having yellow, white, pink and green wood would be great but a little un-vanilla. also the petals could be their own carpet type block, like vines. I know in 1.17 there's this new glowing vine in caves, i think they can be placed on the ground as well as walls, so seeing petals spawn would be great. maybe the petals can appear anywhere underneath the tree, as long as its within 3-4 blocks of the trunk, you might've said this but i might have interpreted it wrong. would there be a different berry for each tree?

The wood would be the same for every Cherry Blossom Variant. By the thin petal blanket would only appear three or four blocks down from the trees trunk; I meant is like if a tree is on a hill or something. The petal blanket should be able to generate directly under the leaves and a couple of blocks around that. This gives players three options. The first is to plant trees at a distance close enough to a flat surface they would want decorated with them. The second is to plant them at a distance further away to avoid surfaces they wouldn't want decorated with them. The third is to put snow or an uneven surface around the tree, like running water, this would cancel the generation of the petal blanket or limit it.  I'm tired of only green trees in my vanilla Minecraft, though if these trees are introduced they would generate in less quantities.  Also, a Cherry Blossom Grove shouldn't be introduced as a Biome. If a player wants a Cherry Blossom Grove, they can build it.  Finding & Planting a Sapling of every type, might become an achievement.

tho i think the wood should be a little different, maybe they have a base pink colour with a slight yellow/green/white hue based on the trees. this means you could build a pink house and add some green tinted wood around plants for a mossy look, or yellow and white could be used for other stuff i dont know. maybe the wood changes on biome, like grass and leaves.

Nah. That sounds like it need to be a separate thing. For different wood colors, I'd rather that be a dying thing, like how sheep wool is dyed. If you want an original idea for dying mass quantities of wood, Make the suggestion; "Enable the Dying of fountains to allow compatible items that get thrown or Fall in to get be Dyed." Not only would this be able to Dye wood, but it would be fun to fence-in some sheep in a space with multiple Dye fountains.  In fact I just posted it. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360077304251-Dye-Fountain-or-an-Enchanted-Dye-Fountain

Yes! I think this would make Flower Forest biomes even more magical.

Maybe also consider a blossom petals falling particle as (pardon any incorrect spelling) aesthetic.
