Update the legacy editions again

I get minecraft bedrock has features that the legacy edition does not, however the sole purpose of a game is for people to enjoy it. Minecraft bedrock was fun for the first couple of weeks as it was new, but the menus, creative mode and even game performance is a massive downgrade from the legacy editions. For me, this really demotivated me from playing the game. Both games have ups and downs but I’m pretty sure many console players would prefer to play the legacy editions again rather than bedrock. The 4J team are extremely talented and for me, only creating maps for minecraft bedrock is talent being wasted. I get Minecraft legacy edition on old-gen consoles would struggle with the current updates so why not bring them back for next-gen consoles? They’re extremely powerful and would run Minecraft brilliantly. It would also bring a lot of the Minecraft console player-base back as well as make you guys a bit more money. What do you have to lose!

    The old legacy editions made my childhood just one last update would be a dream com true. Imagine the possibilities just being wasted

    While I don't 100% agree with the idea, I believe that something special could be planned for 2022. It likely won't happen, but I would love for Editions to get one last update for it's 10th anniversary, bringing all new additions to Editions, maybe even including Infinite worlds. Even if you like bedrock, which personally I do, you can't deny that it'd be a waste if nothing were done to celebrate 10 years of Minecraft Editions. It has a much more stable game engine and it generally has remained that way through every large update to date. I understand that developing for older consoles would likely be impossible because some consoles don't even support pushing game patches anymore, but they should enable the Editions button for all supportable platforms, and work on Editions once more. Editions was a great version of Minecraft, being just as stable as Java, and Mojang shouldn't let it die out.

    i perfer the legacy edition due to my internet not being the best and the version having lots of ofline features for us player who dont have internet most of the time

    Yes I would love to be able to buy legacy for next gen consoles. It would be great to have both legacy and bedrock available. And maybe even porting legacy to mobile and pc would be great too. I personally never owned legacy but I have a lot of nostalgia for it from playing it with friends and family. Bringing back legacy edition would be a smart move by mojang due to so many people preferring legacy over bedrock.

    I would definitely want legacy edition back in session, I really want the caves and cliffs update to go to legacy and also add fov settings, better gui, Better Java aspects, Better combat update aspect’s, and ofc the new skins and the caves and cliffs update, If 4j Studios help us with the update, like I love the dev team so much they helped my childhood with this game and I would definitely love to see allot more features coming to this game version #BringMcLegacyBack <3

    This whould be amazing and also if there was an option to enable legacy edition on consoles and play the xbox legacy version on pc if you have xbox live.

    I don’t care if it’s free or not— I will download it no matter what. If they want to charge me for it, so be it. It would also be nice to not be locked out of the trophies tied to expansions 2 and 5…

    please bring the updates back legacy version runs so well on my Xbox bedrock edition doesn’t run so well so I’d love to see the game be updated again and also I’d like to see a version for PS5 and Xbox Seires S and Seires X

    Not everyone likes bedrock. Some of my world's became corrupted, missing or unplayble and I prefer the legacy version a hundred times more. Please update it again, This was the real Minecraft!

    they should keep it updated and let it be an alternative version like on playstation where if u have an old save it stays. it would be like Java and bedrock edition on pc!

    Yea we need update for Legancy edition if you don't know what it is PS3,Xbox 360, PSVita and Wiiu versions of the game we need updates!

    I want it back, I miss battle, tumble, and glide. Oh, and tutorial. And block placement speed = Player speed. I still play console. Bedrock is OK. But it’s laggy, and most servers bombard you with ads

    Yes this is what we want. I play with my friend on bedrock and half the time it randomly crashes because it’s the infinite worlds the phones can’t handle it.so please just bring console back

    I hate bedrock
    Java is good
    Legacy is best

    I only played bedrock edition for a month before I got bored of it. Legacy edition is still fun after my 3 years of playing it!

    Yeah, honestly legacy edition hits closer to Java than Bedrock does, the only thing Bedrock really has over Legacy is the fact that it’s infinite, but other than that, it’s got nothing. Legacy Edition, In my opinion is superior to bedrock

    Hard agree, they really should bring it back if they can get a contract with 4J again. Bedrock isn't as good as the old console edition, and it is filled with so many bugs.

    Even if they don't update them, they should bring them back as a different game pc has two different versions of minecraft, why not consoles too? The only update i would like them to do is bring 1.14 to the rest of next gen consoles (Xbox one and Nintendo Switch) since PS4 edition got the update so why not them?

    Legacy edition was made SPECIFICALLY for console and therefore works better on console than Bedrock edition which is an amalgamation of multiple versions of Minecraft glued together.
    So yeah, Legacy is better
