Update the legacy editions again

I get minecraft bedrock has features that the legacy edition does not, however the sole purpose of a game is for people to enjoy it. Minecraft bedrock was fun for the first couple of weeks as it was new, but the menus, creative mode and even game performance is a massive downgrade from the legacy editions. For me, this really demotivated me from playing the game. Both games have ups and downs but I’m pretty sure many console players would prefer to play the legacy editions again rather than bedrock. The 4J team are extremely talented and for me, only creating maps for minecraft bedrock is talent being wasted. I get Minecraft legacy edition on old-gen consoles would struggle with the current updates so why not bring them back for next-gen consoles? They’re extremely powerful and would run Minecraft brilliantly. It would also bring a lot of the Minecraft console player-base back as well as make you guys a bit more money. What do you have to lose!

    There has been a very minor update to the legacy Minecraft: Xbox One Edition on April 9th 2024. In this update, all splashes changed again to match Bedrock, but still, there is no 4th Mini game.

    They should bring back legacy and bring back 4j to make some legacy editions AND even update all of them tbh
    If they hired them they can make Minecraft INSANELY popular

    The Features in Legacy Console Edition should also add

    • Cross-play

    • Chat and also commands

    • Realms

    • New legacy console beta it’s like Minecraft bedrock beta & preview, Minecraft java snapshots

    •Command block that can be usable like you can write “/“

    If we don’t need these features in minecraft legacy console edition atleast minecraft legacy console edition still better

    I agree as well as the Menu for Crafting is way more advanced for Consoles and even though maybe sales of Minecraft Legacy Edition won't be much, but it would be great for old-den gamers who played Minecraft back in 2017 to have a go on their new consoles which couldn't be tried on!

    Either way Bedrock is meant for Mobile Devices or Devices mainly for Touchscreen gameplay.

    (I don't know about you guys but I don't want to add blocks anything from Bedrock Edition it's too unrealistic and hard to play.)

    i still have my 360 disc. im considering buying a PS4 and its edition just so i can get a more up to date experience.  bedrock has ruined everything it is still such a buggy mess and just looks wrong java will always be the default version and i don't want a cheap side grade i want something that's made by people who care and feels like it was made with effort not minecoins and smurfs DLC

    I'm the 1,300th voter! Btw I agree! Just make the editions button available for all consoles (even new gen ones) Like the Xbox series x|s will get Xbox One Edition, PS5 will get PS4 edition, and the Nintendo Switch 2 will get Nintendo Switch Edition. And update the Xbox and Nintendo editions to the same version as PS4 edition!

    I voted it, since Minecraft Bedrock Edition has becomed more bland than ever, but the only thing that Minecraft Legacy Edition has is the option to quit without saving feature that Bedrock Edition doesn't have.

    I think this is just dumb. As someone who started on 360 and played the game out I simply don’t understand how Bedrock gets “bland” and stop complaining about going into new chunks for new terrain legacy players complained about that same thing. Ever since better together even thru bedrocks trouble I stayed loyal and to be honest I could care less about the gamma because I know dang well yall use that to cheat in caves. Anyways the save without exiting isn’t even a big deal so yeah. Also only reason to go back is to just send interesting worlds to bedrock. Honestly legacy isn’t even a fun game it’s just a snapshot of old Minecraft from years ago and something to come back look and go play the new updates. I’d rather have all the new updates in 2017 than what 1.12 was. It’s just my opinion you can love legacy and hate bedrock if you want but personally I think legacy is a bandwagon trend and the community in legacy is very toxic and overall slanders bedrock And Java with baseless accusations and terrible comparisons. - 15 Year Minecrafter Since XB30/Java
