Hello Mojang, I've played your game for a while and I came up with an idea for a biome to go into the caves of the new 1.17 update. I call it the petrified forest.
The petrified forest would be a combination of oak and spruce tress (Maybe a few more types) that have been fossilized. They would look the same as the normal trees but with dead grey leaves and stone-like textures for the bark. The petrified oak would have stone grey bark and when chopped with a pickaxe, the logs would turn into unpolished oak planks, light grey planks that look like stone. In a stonecutter they could be turned into polished planks, an almost white plank with a glossy finish (There would also be stair, slab, fence and other variants of the two planks.)
The other type of petrified tree would be the spruce tree. It's bark would be similar to andesite and when put into the table, would make almost solid black planks. When put in the stonecutter, the polished planks would be a very dark gray with a glossy finish. (it would also have slab, fence and other variants)
Just a simple idea I had for a cool biome that could come chalk full of other cool features in the future, and would be a great help to builders who could get their hands on some cool new logs and explorers who want to find a new biome.
