I agree that this should be added, but it may not be as self explanatory as you think; give some characteristics on this biome, please.

I'd love seeing 100+ block tall, 5 block thick trees. This needs to happen

They need to be at least 3 x 3 blocks wide and must be fire resistant.

And add rare trees that are even wider like 5 x 5 or even 6 x 6

I'd love this! I think it also could spread awareness about how redwood trees are endangered! Would love to see trees 5-6x taller than the ancient pines, and would be astounded by a tree base with a circumference of around 6-7 blocks (or larger). Would love to see some great detail in these trees as well, and maybe the occasional fallen tree (like in pocket edition forests) or dead tree. Probably better to keep it as a pretty rare biome to insinuate the degree to which it is endangered, and making the trees take a long time to grow from saplings/pine cones. Redwoods would be the only deciduous-coniferous cross in the game as well. The same wood and leaf type could have three distinct shapes (as ancient pines & pines already do) to represent giant sequoias, dawn redwoods, and coast redwoods, representing three different extremely rare forests.

I believe they should use redwood in the Mega Taigas instead of Spruce. After all, in Bedrock they were called redwood forests. They can keep the giant spruce, but have redwood trees be the default.

Redwood trees and redwood biomes would be an amazing fit for Minecraft. The bark should have a reddish hue bur should be lighter and closer to pink when stripped. The trees should be massive, way taller than the taiga trees and the width should range from 2 blocks wide to maybe 5 or 6 blocks wide. the floors of this redwood biome should be covered in vegetation and there should be variety in the height as in real life redwood forests are very hilly. I think this biome should be rare but not impossible to find like the mangrove swamps. Adding these trees would also give great awareness to the real life forests since they are endangered.

We currently don't have red wood, so this new tree type is a good addition, but I think this biome should have a lot more to offer so its wood isn't the only thing special about it. There should be an incentive to staying in this biome, like adding a new structure with unique loot, or a mob that only spawns there.
