Axolotls turn red when playing dead

    It's certainly an intersting idea! I wonder if new players will get confused, though. They might think that their axolotl actually died and their body is still there because of a bug.

    I would instead have it so they fall over, don't turn red but then turn invisible or teleport away. The fact that they don't turn red is the sign that they aren't dead

    Or, all mobs in Minecraft could be made to not immediately disappear, just fade over time. That way, axolotls would appear to be dead but not fade away even after awhile

    The current axolotl animations may just be so the player still knows they are alive, as well as the fact that it is more realistic, but I would prefer them to match the current mob deaths

    I'm thinking the axolotl flips over and turns red and closes it's eyes, completely stops moving. Once it heals it will flip back over and continue fighting 

    cranzag I don't like the idea of it disapearing when it plays dead because its obvious the axolotl isn't dead when it doesn't disappear with particle effects. If they disappeared it would look like they died
