Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Green Fire (from copper items)

Hello, Mojang. With the addition of Soul Fire in the 1.16 Nether Update, it has left the door open for several other fire variants. My idea is the addition of green fire, torches, campfire, and lanterns. The first edition would be green fire. Due to the chemical properties of copper this would scientifically make sense. Lighting one of the copper block variants would produce a bright green flame, similar to how lighting soul sand/soil produces a blue flame. It probably would produce a light level lower than a normal flame, but more than a soul flame. This property would be the same for all copper light-based items.

 

Next is the Green Torch. I don't know what it would actually be named, maybe just "Copper Torch." To craft it you'd place a copper ingot or block in the bottom slot of the crafting table, a stick in the middle of the crafting table above the copper block, and a piece of coal on top. This would produce a copper torch.

 

Next is the Green Campfire. To craft this item, place a row of three wood logs in the bottom of the crafting table. Place a copper block in the middle of the crafting table, and then surround the block with sticks. This would produce a green-colored campfire.

 

Finally, is the Green Lantern. In a crafting table, place a green torch in the center of the crafting table, and then surround it with iron nuggets. This will produce the Green-colored lantern.

    This would benefit the game it several ways. It would benefit the architect side of the community. The edition of Green-fire would allow it new tint on builds. This goes for me personally, being a builder, but I always wanted to build a large Nether Fortress, and the edition of green-colored light sources would greatly improve the look of that build. Of course, this is only one example.

     

    Next, it would add a new use to copper. While the edition of the Lightning rod, and Spyglass are incredible, and I'm looking forward to using these items, but these would widen the small range of use of copper (at least that we know of so far.)

     

    It could also benefit the automotive community of the game. These items could be given a feature(s) that would affect the Redstone community. One of the recommendations I've heard elsewhere, was that it could draw mobs to it, just like green light does in real life. That feature could be used in farms, just like ravagers are used in iron farms. I don't know of any other Redstone ideas, because I am not a Redstone Engineer, but some interesting ideas could be added.

     

    For the PvP/PvE players, some new mechanics could be added as well.

    Weathered copper should be used. This is actually copper oxide, which burns with a green fire. THAT is the salt.

    I would use Copper Nuggets instead of Copper Ingots.
