I've seen a few ideas to make sculk sensors only hear certain sounds. My thoughts were that we now can use non redstone elements as triggers (like mobs walking, snowballs, even mobs being hit) But if this is in the middle of a system such as a piston door, it makes for a bit of a problem. Yes, you can use the comparator to filter out the other sounds, but the fact remains that if a piston triggered the sculk sensor, even though you can ignore it, for the next two seconds no other triggers can be received. So I propose a way to make sculk sensors only listen to one sound.
The idea I had was to do it based off of the frequency signal strength setup that already exists. But maybe if you had a comparator going into a sculk sensor with a certain signal strength, then it would only listen to that frequency.
I don't think this is too overpowered, it still leaves the frequency output useful because there are times you might want to do different things for different frequencies. And as with the example I said before, there are a lot of systems that you simply can't make quiet.
