I have an idea for making different colored brick blocks for more variety. I imagine it being similar to the way different colored concrete is made, which is with dyes in the middle of the process of actually making concrete. However where the dyes are introduced is a bit strange to place. If we had colored brick blocks, there would be so much more variety in building. PLEASE CONSIDER ADDING THIS!!
- After mining clay, you mix it with whichever dye you prefer and make a dyed piece of clay. You then cook the clay in a furnace and create a single brick the color that you chose. You then get three more (four total) and craft your colored brick block. This is the one that I think should be integrated but I will give more scenarios.
- After mining clay, you can smelt it into a single brick. You can then dye the single brick into whatever color you like. After you obtain three more (four total) bricks of the same color, you can create a brick block of that color. The only difference between this system and the previous one is that the dye comes in after you smelt the clay into a single brick.
- After mining clay, you smelt the clay into a single brick. After obtaining four bricks you can make a brick block. You can then take the brick block and combine it with dye to create a colored brick block. I think this is my least favorite option personally, it just seems so basic and doesn't make much sense, but I'll still put it as an option just to give an idea.
