Guys, there's no reason not to have an option to disable autosave. We had it before for console and we can have it again. Your "But, this! And but, that!" Is easily solved by restricting the save or mode to something that isolates it from other players who join or whatever multiplayer exists. It's 2021. Figure it out. Progress is freedom, not restriction. Our worlds are our paintings and we want the ability to play without scrapping old copies each time we do. Copying over and over is annoying either way. Give us the freedom to sketch and scrap without copying.

I started playing Minecraft with my wife in split screen on ps4 because it's one of only a handful of games we can play together without having to buy another PS4 and television.

The game being exited by force while autosave is occurring causes the entire world file to corrupt and become unusable. This can result in hours, days, weeks, or even months of undue lost progress simply because of, say, a power outage that occurred with unfortunate timing. The only advice anybody can give is to use an uninterruptible power supply to ensure that the game can't be interrupted while saving... Which is known to be able to damage the system.

Either Autosave needs to be brought back as a feature, or automatic backup saves that occur in addition to the main save need to be implemented.

It is absolutely intolerable to lose days, weeks, or months of progress due to an unfortunate occurrence that can happen at literally any time, and it's infuriating how little the devs care about the userbase to have not even implemented a safeguard of some kind to prevent this exact scenario from happening.

I legitimately cannot enjoy the game because the irremovable presence of autosave presents a permanent risk of losing everything that I and my wife have worked for in-game at any possible second.

WOW this has been here since 2020? Thats insane! Do the devs really not see autosaves constant major lag spikes as a big problem? Cause seriously, you cant honestly think its not causing you to lose any players

It was so stupid of them to remove this awesome feature, I loved it when i could just turn off autosave and build to my heart's content, and to never worry about griefers, because what harm could they do if it could just be easily reversed.

I'm definitely noticing the fps drops because of the autosave which happens both too frequently and too little at the same time, all in all i would much rather it be disabled, and am I the only one who is also noticing it in the public official servers such as the hive as well? Either way there has got to be a way for us to be able to disable it regardless it causes more annoyance than it ever being helpful period.

The fact this feature was taken out is absolutely unacceptable. Making duplicate copies of worlds is an absolute waste of time, when we could just turn auto save off. This is a feature that needs to permanently stay in this game. It has too much lag already as is, and when I'm slain by monsters and can't reload my save and need 10 duplicate worlds I find this ridiculous. Bring this back, it needs to stay in.
