The new pointed dripstone falls when it is not supported, but the dripstone *blocks* should also fall. To make them unique, they should only drop when no side of the block is attached to another block (as opposed to blocks like sand, which need support from below). This could be interesting when used with redstone.
Edit: Well, maybe dripstone blocks only falling when none of their sides is touching another block could be a bit weird. What would happen if two dripstone blocks were next to each other? I'll let Mojang decide how exactly they should work, but it would still be interesting to see a block that falls in different circumstances compared to something like sand.
