I went into more detail in (this post) on my idea, but due the 1500 character limit i will summarise my ideas here.
-Shearing/Bonemealing Skulk Sensors
Shearing a skulk sensor will give you 3-4 skulk growth and will "deactivate" the skulk sensor, making it no longer react to sound at all, also removing the "tendrils" atop the block. Bonemealing them will grow them back and will reactivate the skulk sensor.
-Positive/Negative reinforcement
If a skulk sensor is "glowing" after reacting to a sound, you can bonemeal it to prioritize that sound over other sounds, even if they have a higher sound value. Inversely, punching a skulk sensor with your bare hand while its glowing will cause it to completely ignore the sound it had received.
These features would help the skulk have more configuration and less tediousness when using it in redstone builds, for example activating redstone contraptions pre-maturely, breaking them.
