I can't forsee the implications of this, and I'm not a very experienced redstone guy (yet), but sculk sensors seem really awesome anyway and i can at least put my idea out there with the chance of inspiring someone.
my idea is maybe dyeing or placing a sculk sensor near flame or cold blocks in a way to change it's color would be an interesting way to select it's cooldown latency for detection? for instance, a red-tinted sensor set over or near an open flame would have a 0 tick cooldown, responding instantly and frantically, while a cooler gray-blue sensor placed near an ice or snow block would be less responsive, as if it is frozen, with a delay of multiple ticks. i'm not too seasoned with redstone but the sensor seems very interesting and i thought of this idea to select it's cooldown option. (this is for the delay on it's cooldown and re-triggering only, not the initial response time)
