Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

use the anvil to turn enchanted armor into enchanted books

so say you get a good enchant on an old iron sword and you wanna transfer it into netherite or diamond sword

you put the old sword in the first slot 

the empty book in the second and

bam you get the enchanted book and can now apply it into your new sword

    i want a way to remove enchantments without deleting them... i accidentally wasted Efficiency III and Fortune II on an iron pickax that i barley used for ores

    I think it would be really cool if they added a separate workstation/item to do this but I don't think the anvil is the right thing to use!

    I agree with this but maybe not on the anvil. You get great loot from hostile mobs, such as a thorns 1 chestplate or a sharpness 2 sword, but it's wasted on lower grade material, i.e. leather, gold, etc. If this could be implemented into a function block, like the grindstone or a new block, this idea would be great.
