Make a bundle achievement by putting (empty) bundle inside bundle. Name ideas:
    "Bundleception" referencing Inception movie,
"One Chocolate Bar Comin' Up!" referencing SpongeBob SquarePants episode

They're kind of half-half. You still need to do a lot of item sorting in your inventory, even with bundles.

I think the thing that would make them go from good to great for me would be if items you pick up while holding a bundle try going into the bundle before going into your inventory. You could hold a bundle in your offhand when mining or exploring to limit inventory clutter before it even happens. It would be pretty satisfying, too.

Another thing that could work well with the way items expell out of bundles would be to increase the stack size of item entities; when items are dropped as entities, they bunch up but only up to 64, even if they're just entities. If this were increased to something much higher, say 256, like was done for experience orbs, this and the last suggestion could make inventory sorting a problem of the past; gather all your items into various bundles in your offhand, throw them all on the ground, then go into the item pile with a bundle in hand. You'd be able to sort through items by having stacks go into bundles first.

The bundles are working fine for me so far! My only complaint is that the functionality for removing all of the items at once into the players inventory has been removed. It could be implemented back in by shift+right clicking on the bundle. My only other suggestion is if you are holding a bundle in your hand and pick up items, they go into the bundle. Other than that the bundles are one of my favorite features coming in the Caves and Cliffs update!

I'm not sure if the current bundle crafting recipe is supposed to just be a placeholder, or if it's intended to make rabbit hides into more desireable items, but I believe the recipe should accept all types of leather, like leather armor currently does.

This should make bundles a lot more accessible early game, especially as the snowier snow update will also give more focus to leather armor itself.

    • Inventory space and bundle enchantments

A single item stack is not enough to deal with inventory management as the game progresses.

A viable enchantment to bundles could be Holding I~IV, which adds another stack of items to your bundle with each enchantment level.

This could go hand in hand with the hard 27 limit of unique items I previosuly mentioned, to avoid turning bundles into UI monstrosities.

With a Holding IV bundle, the player should be able to manage their inventory with one bundle to keep their tools, one to keep their redstone, one to keep their fish, and etc.

Being able to dye bundles to have a quick visual differentiation of which bundle is which would also be very helpful.

Sorry for the double post, but reached character limit on first one.

Holding a Bundle out in one of your hands should move all items you pickup into that bundle, possibly by holding shift.

Holding shift and lefting clicking on a bundle in the inventory should keep the bundle UI open so you can move things in and out of it, regardless of order, possibly have the bundle UI to the right side of the player inventory UI when you do this.

Allow dispenser to empty bundles, similar to how they can empty buckets.

    Hi,

Bundles are really great for adventure players, but there are missing usefullness for redstone contraptions. I have an idea to make them also useful for technical community: Enable automation for filling and emptying them.

Dispenser with bundles should dispense items from bundle inventory. Also hoppers that contain bundles when sucking items or when are filled with items by other means, should fill up bundles. This won't be overpowered, as you can't fill bundle with more than a stack of items without commands, but it will give some control for order of items dispensed. Also players will make storage contraptions that will involve prefilling one bundle of a type before being requested or other similar usages. I'm sure it will trigger some creativity. =]

    1. Bundles are much easier to use after these changes, being able to take 1 item at a time out instead of the entire thing is way better. And the function for dumping out the entire contents into the world is much better than before, since you can deposit directly into a hopper.

    2. I think the "plus sign" on the UI for the bundle (that indicates more items can fit) should be moved to the top left instead of the bottom right. It just feels more correct that way, because the most recent item is placed in the top left slot of the bundle.

    3. No, except for what I just mentioned in the second point.

Also, I think certain unstackable items like tools should count as 16 fullness instead of 64. So bundles would gain another use as a way to stack tools up to 4.

I don't think armor , tools , or weapons should be able to go in bundles. Also to organize better you should name your bundles. Lastly , thank you for adding these mojang they will make long journeys way easier and give another use for rabbit hide.

Hi, would be great if bundles would treat items that cannot stack  as 1 and be able to store 64 of them in a bundle because if not the whole thing is useful  for only like building

I m REALLY this idea is very good.

    i think this gamerule:

    /gamerule bundlemaxfullness <the max fullness you want.>

and we should able to but 2 armor in a bundle  (max 2)

OP thing fact : if you are able to put a full bundle in a 63/64 fullness bundle then you can have infinite inventory.

How about adding capacity of bundle in item data? Bundles with custom capacity made with command have big potential in customized maps.

Can items automatically go into the bundle when holding one in your hand in your inventory. That would be very convienient.

Players should be able to dye Bundles, like we can leather armor and shulker boxes. This would greatly help with organization and remembering what is where.

Bundles shouldn't be able to be put in itself just like a shulker box. It makes it really confusing, especially with enchantments that make them hold more.

You should be able to "spread" bundles across items to collect them. This would reduce clicking when putting items into bundles.

what would be great for me is if you had the ability to pick out a specific item from a bundle while in the inventory. what if you could shift over a bundle to lock the ui in place and then drag items in or out of it? i feel like this would make bundles a lot more useful imo.

I think that right clicking with the bundle in your hand should only drop all the items in the first bundle slot, one slot at a time, rather than the whole bundle altogether. You would still be able to throw out everything, but you would have to press 'ctrl + right click'. This would be the same when in your inventory, and would work similar to the default 'q' hotkey.

You should also be able to hold right or left click in your inventory to spread out all the items in your inventory or other containers. Holding right would spread one item at a time and would stop when the bundle slot empties, and holding left would spread each bundle slot into other slots while keeping the stack sizes.

Maybe there could also be an exception for the amount of space that armor would take up to be reduced to 25%, allowing you to carry a full set of armor with you at all times, maybe if you want to have another set for different activities.

One other thing that I think could be useful especially adding onto the previous, would be to automatically equip armor that you empty out of a bundle into your inventory, if you don't already have any on.

The thing where you can add items to the bundle inside your inventory by hovering over the item with the bundle to add it to the bundle should also be added to shulker boxes!

Love them, but a lot of tedious clicking could be removed by allowing drag operations with the bundle just like normal stacks of items. Right click on an empty inventory slot to start emptying the bundle, and drag across empty slots to continue emptying. Right click on a non-empty slot to start filling the bundle and drag across other filled slots to add them to the bundle, one at a time.

If bundles were a queue instead of a stack, then you could consider combining the two drag operations so you could swipe across both filled and non-filled slots and have it empty and fill accordingly, but currently this would simply make the drag operations more frustrating and not useful.

I love how bundles have been implemented so far. The only thing that I can think of to add would be the ability to dye them for improved sorting ability.

Unlike most people, I see bundles have a use. They are really useful for the early game, especially when adventuring and mining. The one issue is, however, rabbit hide is not only too hard to get, but killing rabbits is way too hard without a bow. Maybe 1 rabbit hide is ok, but by the time you have enough the time put into it will not be worth it. I know yall want to give a use to rabbit hide, so maybe keep the rabbit hide in the 2nd slot, and then replace the rest with leather. The final product will be a boat shape out of leather, with 2 string and a rabbit hide ontop. Much easier to get, expecialy in the early game where this shines.

I hate when all items are dropped at once with one click that easily. Others have stolen them on server.

Also, they should be opened like backpacks in mods, and when I need one item that is in middle of the bundle, I want to be able to choose that one item and put it out, not to click thru all items before. It's really annoying.

Add functionality that when you hold bundle in your hand, every item that is picked up goes immediately to the bundle.

Then when I put it in offhand and start killing mobs, all the different items will immediately go to bundle and in my inventory wont be any mess.
