Ancient seeds/ prehistoric saplings

Some time on the news ago, I heard that some 20,000 year old plant (I don't know exactly but it was very old) had been found to germinate and sprout. Maybe we could have our own form of this! It would be really cool to have even more new foliage and plants to get from site-digging

    Yes! It could be a type of tree fern that grows over time like bamboo. Tree ferns are truly ancient. It would grow from spores, then, or saplings. Otherwise, it could be a date palm like the one they revived a few years back, and it could yield dates.

    As an extra challenge, reviving the ancient plant might require a certain splash potion or combination of potion and item, like a splash water bottle, healing potion, and bone meal.

    I was just about to post a topic about this, it's a really good idea and would make people want to dig for stuff. Something I want out of this is new wood types from prehistoric trees.
