Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Different color chests

If you use acacia wood go build a chest, why is it made of oak. A small feature could be having different types of wood create different colored chests, giving a nice way to decorate your build even more.

    This could just as easily be applied to barrels!  And they could be just as diverse as doors.  You wouldn't even need to change the classic texture if you want, just craft again with a plank of the relevant color and you can keep the old texture while adding a bunch of new ones.

    I particularly like the idea of one of the nether mushroom woods having gold accents, to fit in with piglin's love of gold.

    Honestly, yeah. It's so weird that it's not a thing yet considering there's so many items, you need a ton of chests. I would love to be able to be able to organize them without signs.
