Add Salt to Minecraft!

If salt were added to Minecraft, my idea is that it could be placed on the ground to stop snow from landing on that block. It would be a great addition to the Caves and Cliffs Update!

  It could also be sprinkled on blocks to stop plant growth until the block is either dug up and put back down (equivalent to turning over the dirt) or washed to flush out the salt.

  Maybe salt could be used in cooking recipes to increase the nutritional value of meat and vegetables.
