Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Cauldron over fire should melt snow and boil water

Purely aesthetic. When cauldrons are placed above a fire, the contents inside the cauldron should react. Snow should melt into water. And water should have bubbles and slowly boil away.

    good idea, they would probably deal damage to entities when stepped on.

    it's doesn't even have to be aesthetic only, the cauldron transitions could be used for technical purposes

    you could get items like sugar, gunpowder, and coal when the water boils off completely... because river/ocean water isn't pure, and neither is rain water really.

    I'd love to boil some Crabs or Frog Legs in a boiling Cauldron, or something of the sort.
