Grappling hook made with amethyst crystals

This would be crafted using amethyst crystals and a lead I would imagine and you would look in the area of where you want to get to and right click which would move you in the direction of where the hook lands. Too make it not too OP it would have a range of about 20 blocks. The reason I’m suggesting this is because it would make traversing the new caves and mountains a lot easier for example if you see some ores at the top of a tall cave you could grapple hook up there and get the ores rather than having to nerdpole up.
