Glowing Stalagtites and stalagmites

The new Caves are huge but dark. One natural way to light them without anykind of dynamic lighting is to make the stalagmites and stalagtites glow in the dark when they are hanging on ceiling or placed on the ground. Even if it had a low light level it would make the cave more atmospheric.

    Nah, I like the stalactites as they are now but a glow worm could be a good addition. They would spawn in small patches on the ceilings of caves and slowly spread out from there. When harvested (possibly with shears, a hoe, or a bucket) they drop 3-7 glowing worms and these can either be placed in a dark room (light level less than 7) or four of these combined with a piece of glass to create a new blue light source emitting a light level of six, so you can see but mobs can still spawn. When glowing worms are placed they must be on the bottom of a block and will only spread to blocks where the light level is below seven. (They produce a light level of 6)

    That would need dynamic lighting, and the developers don't want to add dynamic lighting right now in time.

    DinnerBone9243 NO I am just saying to make them glow when they are hanging or placed on the ground. Much like how glowstones hang from nether ceiling. That wont be dynamic lighting.

    AtomJBomb I like your idea but the mechanic you explained is too much like sculk growth.

    They could glow when lava drips on them
