Use for Amethyst Shards: Potions That Affect Blocks

Amethysts have always been thought of as mystical, so why not give them a magical application?

Brew an Amethyst Shard with a splash potion as a base to make a new type of throwable potion; inert catalyst. When combined with other ingredients, Catalysts would have more auxiliary environmental effects, such as increasing crop growth in the area of effect, instantly solidifying liquids into ice/coble, liquifying coble/ice while glassing sand, forming a slime block at the point of impact, transforming blocks into other blocks, etc. They would have an upside-down teardrop shaped bottle and release a burst of particles like a splash potion, but differently colored glyphs instead or potion particles.

These physical-based effects could be very useful when exploring in the new update and well after beating the game as they’re not focused around combat.

    I was thinking of making the initial ingredient a nether star as it would make more sense for the magical aspect of it, but that would make the recipe for some uses, such as the deployable slime block and crop growth, too expensive to be worth crafting.

    A few other Ideas I had for some physical effects that would benefit spelunking:

    Catalyst made with shroomlight that spawns the fungus light-source block at the point of collision to light up areas from a distance,

    Catalyst made with sponge that instantly clears out a volume of water to more easily explore/mine in flooded areas,

    Catalyst that can transmute a volume of stone into gavel to burry enemies (and hopefully not yourself),

    And a Catalyst that forms a blob of cobwebs to slow down enemies or break your fall.
