New Cobalt Ore

Cobalt is a new ore that spawns from y 35 to y 15. It is a light blue that is lighter than lapis ore so it is more noticeable. It produces cobalt ingots when smelted. These could have several uses ranging from making copper blocks oxidize faster, to making magnets that can cause magnetic items on the ground to move towards them.

    Honesly I think magnetic items floating everwhere would be kind of strange but who knows!

    I like the idea but there are a few changes I would suggest. First of all, maybe not so much a light blue, but a metallic blue. Noticeably a different color, but not light blue, more a silvery dark blue. Next, I disagree on the ability to make copper oxidize faster, it should be something to show just how long your house has been there, a relic of age. Besides, I am not sure how that would make sense. After this, I would say that along with other things here, we should get some cobalt tools and armor. Between iron and diamond, has the same metallic blue color as the ore. Finally, I might increase the generation range to be anywhere below y=40.

    I like this idea very much! I think that in addition to the uses described in the post, cobalt should also be used a descoarative block and you should be able to make cobalt wires that will work the same as redstone dust only that you can place them under water and in the air. Maybe in order to make it not op, it will be possible to make cobalt rare, and also make it so that once in a while there’s a chance of the wires breaking and then you need to replace them.

    I dont think that would be very useful, and increase the ore bloat we got through copper even more.

    This is a great idea! It would be cool to craft Cobalt into wires that can be used in air and underwater. It should be able to be used in powdered form like redstone too (in this form it would not work underwater or in air, obviously. If the wires seem OP then make them out of a whole ingot and I like the idea of a metallic-blue colour too. More ores are always better, I think.

    maybe there could be salt ore that generates near oceans that when mined turns into salt that can be crafted with food to add hunger bars?

    I think it should spawn below y=0 so you have to go deep to find it
