Lighting rods should also corrode/oxidize like copper blocks

    it would make actually quite a lot of sense, as when copper is used to transmit voltages, if exposed to air, actually makes the corosion faster! therefor i would say, every time a lightning strikes the rod, it corodes by one stage

    You wax it with honeycomb just like how you do with normal copper blocks.

    But If they were to break or stop functioning once fully corroded, you would have incentive to go and find more copper.
