Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Copper, Iron and gold plaques

I thought it would be cool to have an alternative to signs in plaques, and being able to use the metal instead of wood, for statues or date plates on builds.

    I like this idea. I think when you place a plaque on the floor, it should stay on the floor facing up like an item frame, but they should be angled up a bit like a lectern so you can glance down and read them without having to standing directly on top of it. The same applies to putting them on ceilings, they would be angled down for readability so you don't have to look straight up. 

    This would give it its own purposes apart from being a metal textured sign, so it can be useful in its own situations

    This would be great for making monuments too, or cemeteries, unless they add stone carving too.

    I'd imagine the plaques having those bolts in each corner of the texture!

    Would love if it let you place plaques flat on the floor or underside of a block, almost like a trapdoor. It would differentiate it from signs, where you can't place them facing up!

    Bonus: Because minecraft lets you use unicode, that means it would be awesome for creating tile patterns or wallpaper using funky symbols like these

    using maps+item frames for wallpaper is super inefficient because of the performance lag it causes, so it would be great to have an alternative!

    plaques

    basically my idea is that you can make a plaque using iron or gold blocks it’ll be this shiny sign that can only be placed on walls but not placed on the ground.
